The International Vintage Poster Dealers Association (IVPDA) was founded in 1996 by a group of highly respected poster dealers from the United States and Europe.
The Association was created to inform and educate the public, collectors and other buyers and to help promote the appreciation of the wide variety of vintage posters from around the globe.
The IVPDA is a non-profit professional organization of dealers which provides strict guidelines to ensure the authenticity of the posters for sale and to promote ethical and fair business practices. Dealers and web sites displaying the " IVPDA " logo are found in many cities around the world. Members are committed to the highest standards of professional ethics in the collectibles industry and have been carefully screened for their knowledge of printing techniques, posters, and their business ethics.
The members of the Association pledge to conduct their business affairs with integrity and the highest ethical standards. You can be assured that the posters being offered by any member displaying the IVPDA symbol are of unquestioned quality and authenticity.
The expertise of the members of the IVPDA can help you concerning date, artist, condition, rarity and originality of a vintage poster. Purchases made from dealers displaying the IVPDA symbol can be made with the utmost confidence.
The IVPDA has been invited to vet the posters showed during the International Vintage Poster Fairs that are held around the United States (in the US) to ensure that all posters at the Poster Fairs are original and authentic. On these occasions, JD Clerc, the "Galerie un deux trois" owner, is a member of the authenticity committee in order to vet the posters.
JD Clerc is also one of the founding members of this association and on the board of directors.
